Hey, I’m Akseli.
I’m a seasoned front-end developer building accessible and user-friendly web applications.
If you prefer, this page is also available in Finnish.
How I work
- I take ownership of my work from day one — from planning all the way through the full lifecycle of the product or code.
- I aim to make everything I build accessible to everyone, in every situation. I create services people can rely on.
- I focus on making digital services easier to use. Tech can be complicated, but most of the time, it really doesn’t have to be.
Beyond the code
- In my free time, I enjoy playing games — both video games and the tabletop kind. Right now I’m playing games like The Long Dark and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
- When the weather’s nice, my favorite way to unwind is hitting the roads and gravel trails around the Helsinki area on my bike.
- Nothing beats a good adventure or sci-fi flick. Film festivals are the best — you often stumble across movies you’d never have heard of otherwise. I also watch a lot of series, currently watching shows like The X-Files and Trailer Park Boys.
- Even though I get to code plenty at work, I still like messing around with fun little side projects. These include Pikku G Fan Club, Who’s your favorite Bond? and Music Link Converter.
